Youth Entrepreneurs Project (YEP)

In response to the extreme poverty and unemployment amongst youth in northern Uganda, CEED’s Youth Entrepreneurship Project is designed to empower budding entrepreneurs with soft & hard skills trainings, start-up capital; workshops to enable them tackle the challenge head on.

YEP identifies 10 youth groups (50 young entrepreneurs) to go through a rigorous competition for start-up capital. They all get trained on various business skills, write and present business plans before a panel of judges and the best 3 groups win the capital and become part of the YEP beneficiaries for a year. They will then be supported through workshops, linkages, exchange visits and technical backstopping in the course of their ventures.
